Enhance your personal and your organisations knowledge, skills and competencies
Andromeda offers a range of engineering courses, available in the UK and internationally, and has the capacity to create bespoke training to meet specific industry requirements.
Since 2012 we have provided training courses to Network Rail and various suppliers to assist engineers to improve their competency levels. This includes full development programmes that include a combination of technical and process engineering material aimed at supporting project engineers (PE), designated project engineers (DPE), contractor’s responsible engineers (CRE) and contractors engineering managers (CEM) in improving their competency levels. We also offer mentoring support to engineer’s while they develop there skills.
We have an extensive range of formal technical training courses as well as many practical application workshops designed to meet the industry needs. We can also develop new training courses based on specific needs of our clients.
We have the expertise to provide training courses in overhead line design including open routes, overlaps, station areas and overbridges and have developed a course for the design and installation of OLE foundations. We provide training in electrical engineering theoretical principles such as direct and alternating current electrical circuits, single and three phase systems, providing a series of worked examples along the way.
We provide training in LV applications such as point heating in line with the requirements of BS7671: Wiring Regulations.
‘Excellent course delivered by Andromeda, design calculation exercise was very well done, and can be applied to a wide range of Low Voltage systems not just to Points Heating’. Network Rail, Graduate Engineer, May 2015.
As part of the development programme we run for engineers Andromeda have developed workshops ranging from 2 hours to complete days for subjects such as:
- Requirements of OLEC 5
- Good practice approach to completing Design Review Notes (DRN)
- Introduction to NR/L2/INI/02009 Engineering Management for Projects
- Introduction to CDM 2015
- Electrical safety principles
